In light of the Coronavirus crisis, we have amended the spec of our new version Home Owners Passport and brought forwards its release date to May 2020.
HOP will provide agents and lawyers with an online tool to enable much of the paperwork to be completed by Sellers, at home, remotely, helping to keep deals progressing during lockdown, and meaning quick completions can be delivered once restrictions are lifted.
What does it do?
HOP is an online tool where Move Packs are assembled. These include:

The Deeds and the Plan

The Law Society Protocol Forms (fixtures and fittings and property information forms)

Replies to conveyancing deed enquiries

List of conveyancing issues identified from the deeds
In addition, a Key Facts Document is generated automatically, helping agents to comply with their duties of disclosure of material fact without visiting the property.

Why is this important?
During the Coronavirus crisis, during any lockdown cycles it will be imperative for deals to be kept moving. This will mean agents and lawyers delivering their service remotely and online.
It will also be important for deals to be progressed as much as possible during lockdown periods, so that when restrictions are lifted, completions can take place quickly, and in a small window of time. HOP will help facilitate this.
